Timeboxing on iPhone and the web
Timeboxing is one app with two doors: the iPhone app on the App Store and the web app at timeboxing.pro. One account, one ledger. Start a block on the phone, read the history on the laptop.
What the iPhone app does
- Timer on the lock screen. An active block or break shows as a Live Activity, so you see the countdown without unlocking.
- Runs when the app is closed. A block has a start time and a length. It ends on the clock whether the app is open or not, and you get a notification when it does.
- Keeps working on a bad connection. Blocks you start or finish while the connection is down are kept on the phone and sent when it returns.
- Everything the web has. Block and break generators, the queue, goals, the live streak, the day panel, all-time stats, search, and detail editing on recent blocks.
What the web app is for
The browser version runs on any desktop, Mac or Windows, with no install. It is the same ledger and the same rules. Most people run blocks from whichever screen they are working at and read the history on the bigger one.
Price
| Plan | Price | Notes |
|---|
| Trial | Free for 3 days | The full app, nothing held back. No card required to start. |
| Monthly | $8 on the web, $8.99 on the App Store | Cancel any time through Apple or the web billing portal. |
| Lifetime | $280 on the web, $269.99 on the App Store | Pay once. No renewal. |
Buy on the App Store or on the web; access applies to the same account on both. Prices are in US dollars, differ slightly by store, and are shown at checkout. After the trial, your data is kept and the app locks until you subscribe, so nothing you logged is lost if you come back later.
Getting started on the phone
- Install from the App Store.
- Create an account, or sign in if you already use the web app.
- Type a category and a one-line description of what you are about to do.
- Pick a tier. Tier 2 (6 to 12 minutes) is the right first block.
- Lock the phone and work. The countdown stays on the lock screen.
Privacy and support
Your blocks are yours. There is no public leaderboard; stats are visible only to friends you add. Read the privacy policy, or reach us from the support page.
Try it
Sign up, describe one task, pick a tier, and finish one block. That is the whole first session.
3-day trial, then $8 a month or $280 once on the web ($8.99 / $269.99 on the App Store). One account works on the web and on iPhone.
